The makers of the Wechsler Memory Scale are offering you a chance to register to win a free external hard drive now through December 31, 2008- no purchase is necessary since I just registered to win one myself. I suppose its an amusing metaphor for memory.

I love that the WAIS-IV is being marketed as “Join the revolution!” Its funny that a google search for Join the Revolution in quoteas has over 808,000 hits. Amusingly, Ron Paul seems to be well represented in the results. I don’t really dare ask- is he actually advocating a revolution or is he just looking to IQ test America with the WAIS-IV? Theres also a site at http://www.yesyoucanchangetheworld.com Where you can “Become Part of an International Movement to Make the World a Better Place!” I didn’t dare look too much further on that site though, apparently there is also a “Snowflake revolution” at http://www.snowflakerevolution.com apparently having something to do with snowflaking for debt reduction- I should probably come back to this one and actually read it a little more maybe
Apparently the revolution has begun already and even Fran Drescher is there before me: http://www.cancerschmancer.org/articles/23/1/JOIN-THE-REVOLUTION/Page1.html
…and if you want to read a more serious blog go nuts: http://www.intelligencetesting.blogspot.com/ but from the look of it you may want to leave your Che Guevara t-shirt at home.
Apparently you should sign up today to join the WAIS-IV revolution now
particularly since it offers such an amazing sea change from those revolutions that have gone before: WISC-IV and WPPSI-IV.
Is anyone else amused by the marketing?

Anyway, you can check out the specs for the WAIS-IV at http://www.WAIS-IV.com
How long will you wait before switching over to the newest version of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (IQ test)? A kit is only just a little over $1,000 and will get you started with 25 record forms! I don’t see eBay being flooded with the WAIS-III kits from people upgrading just yet, but there are a few. As of right now there is a WAIS-III with no bids with an opening bid of just $99.
I recommend sellers only sell to people with adequate credentials that can be verified and don’t try to buy an IQ test unless you’re qualified to administer and interpret it.
